Microwave Extraction
Microwave-assisted extraction uses closed vessels to heat the extraction solvent above its atmospheric boiling point. Working at elevated temperature increases the solubility of the analyte of interest and decreases the solvent viscosity, leading to more efficient sample preparation and lower extraction times.
Microwave extraction is selective, fast and produces more accurate and precise results than other methods.

ETHOS™ X
Solven Extraction for GC/LC and Fat Extraction
- Fast - Microwave extraction is completed in just few minutes
- Effective and consistent - Microwave extraction produces equal or higher analyte recoveries than older methods.
- Easy - An important feature of the ETHOS™ X is that it easily adapts to existing extraction chemistry.
- Economical - Lower solvent usage reduces the costs of solvent purchase and disposal.
ETHOS™ X Fragrances
Solvent-free Fragrance Extraction
The ETHOS X performs solvent-free microwave extraction of fragrances in plant material, such as essential oils, at atmospheric pressure. To run a sample, the operator places the material into the reactor without any added solvents or water, and then selects the pre-stored methods to start the run.
ETHOS™ X Flavours
Solvent-free Flavour Extraction
The microwave hydro-diffusion and gravity technology (MHG) is an original “upside down” microwave alembic, combining microwave heating and gravity at atmospheric pressure. This technology allows flavour to diffuse outside the plant material, dropping by gravity out of the microwave reactor.
ETHOS™ X Terpenes
Solvent-free Terpene Extraction
ETHOS X line allows quick heating of the cannabis material for terpene isolation. Solvent-free extraction process takes only a few minutes and prevents any thermal degradation often noticed during use of conventional extraction methods. The fresh and characteristic taste of strain-specific cannabis is maintained and high-quality terpenes are assured.
